Resurrecting Dharma....Change is what we need.

Most of the hindus who are concerned over this grave issue like to discuss how the missionaries are cheating poor and badmouth about the missionaries. Internet has many forums and articles discussing and reporting malicious activities of christian missionaries in India. But these forums and discussions hardly get out of the net and get converted into action.
Instead of discussing ways to defeat missionaries we need to think how can we revive or resurrect the all powerful and the oldest religion on earth, Santana Dharma. No faith, cult or religion has the smallest ability to stand before this giant 10,000 year old philosophy.
We need to understand that the missionaries are so successful in winning souls simply because they give the converts what they need. Roti, Kapda aur Makan (Food,Clothing and Shelter) is the primary concern for every human being and rest all are secondary, including religion. There may be thousands of christian missions working in India but their sole aim is 'Selling Jesus'. Thus when so many people working with one simple aim, the hit ratio becomes quite high. There are many Hindu organisations and Gurus throughout the world but they dont work towards a common cause. Most of the hindus agree that casteism is the biggest cancer for hinduism, but this belief is just in the hearts with no one ready to take lead to promote caste eradication.
Many gurus like Sri Ravi Shankar, Morari Bapu, Sathya Sai,Asaram Bapu etc have a large number of followers through out the world and are the only proponents of Hinduism. The first and formeost thing that needs to be done is to bring all these gurus on a common platform and convice them to talk about conversions and protecting dharma to their followers. This is because there are still a large number of hindus who are ignorant what happens in the slums and the remote rural areas. Many hindu organisations work for social cause and spend a lot in social services. All these organisations need to be brought under one umbrella with one agenda - SERVING HINDUS. We need to learn from missionaries the art of marketing social work. Helping people because 'they are hindus' must be the working motto of all hindu social organisations. So the first step must be clear - Come together and pool your resources.
Many fail to understand that christian missions have grown so strong only because of the power of church in the christian world. The second thing we can learn from christianty is that the temples have to become an integral part of hindu life. Temples need to go to the people rather than other way round. The power of prayer that missionaries emphasize on cannot be ignored. Hinduism has given mankind the best practices of praying and meditation through yoga. There are lakhs of temples in India, in every corner of every village. Most of them remain deserted for most days of the year. Temples need to become praying and community help centers.
Service to fellow beings is service to God.
Donating huge amounts of money, gold, silver etc to temples is a selfish act and needs to be changed. The time demands the hindus who have everything to help their hindu brethren who are have nots. The money donated to temples must be utilized in building schools which which preach sanatana faith along with studies. Building medical care centres for poor hindus must also be priority. This can be achieved only if all the cash rich temples are brought on a common platform and forced to act by devotees.

Change is what we need.
